  Alan A. Greenberg

  CEO and Founding Partner

  Alan Greenberg is an accomplished trial and appellate attorney who handles high-stakes and complex cases. He has been repeatedly named as one of the Top 100 lawyers in California by the Daily Journal and been named a “Winning Litigator” by the National Law Journal. Alan combines extensive trial experience with tremendous knowledge of business and finance to represent plaintiffs in contingent-fee cases. Alan has settled numerous multi-million-dollar cases on behalf of employees suing employers for whistleblower retaliation, gender discrimination, racial discrimination, sexual harassment, and breach of employment contract. Two of Alan’s trial verdicts have been listed as among the Top Verdicts of the Year in California. He has been named as an Elite Boutique Trailblazer by the National Law Journal and a California Trailblazer by The Recorder. He is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a highly selective trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. He has repeatedly been named to lists of The Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers.   Mr. Gross is equally adept at representing plaintiffs and defendants. Three of his trial verdicts have been listed as among the Top Plaintiff and Defense Verdicts of the Year in California. In a Top Plaintiff Verdict of 2011, Mr. Gross and his team obtained a jury verdict of more than $50 million, including $34 million in punitive damages, in a case involving real estate development ventures in Hollywood, California [Law360 – How They Won It]. In a Top Defense Verdict of 2018, Mr. Gross and his team obtained a complete defense verdict on behalf of an AmLaw 200 law firm in a jury trial in which the plaintiffs sought approximately $600 million for alleged violations of civil RICO and other torts [Top Defense Verdict]. Mr. Gross has appeared as a legal commentator on CNN, PBS, and Inside OC [Compilation of News Appearances]. He serves on the Board of Advisors for UC Irvine School of Law and has served as a law school adjunct professor at Loyola Law School. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Laughlin E. Waters of the United States District Court, Central District of California.   Brian L. Williams

  Managing Partner

  Brian Williams is an accomplished trial lawyer who has served as lead counsel in high-stakes trials throughout the State of California. Recently recognized by the Daily Journal as a Top Plaintiff Lawyer for 2024, Mr. Williams focuses his practice on cases involving sexual abuse, physical assault, serious injury or wrongful death, and employment disputes. Many of Mr. Williams’ cases garner significant press attention across major media outlets, and he is regularly featured on television and in news publications. When the circumstances call for it, Mr. Williams takes great pride in bringing needed attention to the important cases filed by his clients. Mr. Williams is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a prestigious invitation-only national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges reserved for attorneys with a wealth of trial experience who uphold the highest standards of integrity, civility and professionalism. He has also served as a Speaker at the College of Trial Advocacy program presented by the Orange County Bar Association, which is designed to teach other lawyers the skills necessary to become an effective trial lawyer. Mr. Williams is also a regular guest on podcast where he discusses topics related to his practice and managing a multi-state law firm. In addition to his prowess as a trial lawyer, Mr. Williams is a skilled negotiator who regularly represents his clients in mediations and other settlement discussions. Mr. Williams has obtained substantial monetary settlements on behalf of his clients, including multiple seven-figure settlements on behalf of survivors of sexual assault. Many of his most recent settlements were reached with some of California’s largest public schools, private schools, colleges, religious establishments, and police departments. Several of these successful settlements have been featured in the media. Mr. Williams has extensive experience handling cases involving traumatic brain injuries, burn injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other significant orthopedic injuries/fractures. In these cases, Mr. Williams capitalizes on his years of experience with insurance companies and adjusters, using his expertise to reach the best possible outcome for his clients. Mr. Williams also has a deep understanding of how public entities operate and make decisions, giving his clients an advantage when it comes to litigating against these large institutions.

  Jemma E. Dunn

  Ms. Dunn is a Partner and the Director of Litigation at Greenberg Gross LLP. An experienced trial attorney, she represents plaintiffs in complex litigation matters with a focus on childhood sexual assault, personal injury, nursing home abuse, employment law, and mass torts. Jemma is known for her ability to handle high-profile and sensitive cases in both state and federal courts, combining sharp litigation skills with deep compassion for survivors and employees seeking justice. Ms. Dunn joined Greenberg Gross after more than a decade of practice on the defense side of the bar in big law and government work, including serving as in-house litigation counsel for the City of Huntington Beach. Her decision to transition to plaintiff-side advocacy was driven by her passion for representing survivors of sexual assault and individuals whose voices often go unheard. Throughout her career, Ms. Dunn has recovered tens of millions of dollars on behalf of her clients. Her approach is built on empathy and forging personal connections, which allows her to guide clients through some of the most challenging experiences of their lives while achieving meaningful results. Ms. Dunn earned her J.D., cum laude, from Chapman University School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the Chapman Law Review. She earned her B.A. from Pepperdine University. She is admitted to practice in California, Nevada, and the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Northern, and Southern Districts of California. Her work has earned recognition from the Daily Journal, which named her one of the Top Women Lawyers of 2024. She is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and was recognized by the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) as a Rising New Trial Lawyer.
